Wo bekommt ein technikbegeisterter Hobbyfotograf Flugzeuge näher zu sehen, als am Flughafen? Nirgends! Der Flughafen Düsseldorf (ICAO: EDDL) eignet sich als größtes Luftfahrt-Drehkreuz in NRW besonders, denn die Aussichtsplattformen über dem Bahnhof und den Terminals sind sehr nah an den Start- und Landebahnen gelegen, so dass auch mit relativ kurzer Brennweite schon tolle Fotos entstehen können. Für 2,20 EUR kann man den ganzen Tag die Zuschauerterassen und die vollautomatische Einschienenbahn nutzen.
